One of the most dangerous lids is not obvious because it doesn't look like sin, It doesn't look rebellious, It doesn't look worldly. In fact, it often sits in church every week. It sings and participates in praise & worship, knows the Scriptures, serves on teams and attends Bible studies. Yet something has quietly happened. The heart has stopped being amazed. The believer still believes in God but no longer expects God. That is the Lid of Familiarity.
